For the treatment of varicose veins that once would have required surgery, the 1320 CoolTouch endovenous laser fiber is passed into the saphenous vein in the thigh or calf to gently shrink the problem vein with laser energy. At MDLSVI, we have been performing this in-office, local anesthetic, out-patient procedure for years with excellent results. Dr. Robert Weiss helped develop this procedure as a non-surgical alternative to stripping of the saphenous vein. We have published numerous articles and lectured extensively on this great technique that is much gentler for patients and very effective for relieving varicose veins.
