Unwanted veins may be treated using six methods: sclerotherapy, minimally-invasive surgery (Ambulatory Phlebectomy), radiofrequency vein shrinkage(Closure), endovenous laser therapy (CoolTouch CTEV), laser (Lumenis One, Starlux 1064, CoolTouch Varia, and pulsed dye among others), and intense pulsed light (IPL).
